No it isn’t…really! But of course, I do realize that this looks very simular to the popular game but I in my research quest to create some very cool radial outer space gravity stuff I came across this link from Emanuele Feronato.
That example was the basic to create this video, but I have added a lot of stuff to re-create that typical orbital effect you need to create some true planetery gravity.
(meaning: objects shoot in the gravity bound of the planet are ‘captured’ by this planet and will land slowly on the surface of the planet.)
It took actually, I think, 2 years to get this effect done. And honestly, after seeing ABS, I recognize what I was missing for my uebercoolest new gameproject.
So, that was this orbital gravity thing.

The green dots is the natural way, the red dots is the path that is forced to follow by natural forces, the orange path are the dots, meaning that no extra force is needed, simply, because the box is bouncing back…)
